Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our programme, financial milestone rules, and academic policies.
What does the ₹35,000 mentorship package cover?
The ₹35,000 fee provides end-to-end doctoral mentorship from onboarding until an eligible official PhD offer letter is received. It includes academic transcript assessment, research topic scoping, language exam strategy (IELTS/PTE/Duolingo/TOEFL) with MOI waivers, targeting 5–10 universities (30–50+ supervisor leads), multiple rounds of detailed proposal feedback, CV standardisation, supervisor outreach guidance, dual funding advisory (GRA/GTA vs Govt NOS), 1-on-1 mock viva defense drills, ATAS clearance assistance, and embassy student visa clearance.
How is my mentor selected?
You can request a specific verified mentor from our directory, or our academic matching team will assign a verified doctoral researcher whose research background, methodology, and target country experience closely match your intended field of inquiry (e.g. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Ivy League, Australian Go8).
How long does the mentorship last?
The mentorship programme remains active from onboarding until you receive an eligible official PhD offer letter and visa clearance, subject to regular student participation and our published terms of service. We do not impose an arbitrary monthly expiration.
How does the PhD offer milestone guarantee work?
UKCoSA Global operates an outcome-oriented doctoral guidance model. Your one-time mentorship package covers end-to-end support until you receive an eligible official PhD offer letter independently verified by UKCoSA administrators. Our mentors and academic team remain fully committed to your journey through proposal development, supervisor outreach, and interview coaching.
Can a mentor guarantee university admission or funding?
No. Admission and funding decisions rest solely and exclusively with the admissions committees of the respective universities. UKCoSA Global and its mentors provide expert academic coaching to maximize the quality and competitiveness of your application, but cannot and do not guarantee acceptance.
Will my mentor write my research proposal or statement?
Absolutely not. UKCoSA Global strictly enforces international academic integrity and anti-plagiarism standards. Mentors critique, advise, annotate, and guide your thinking, but all written text, methodologies, and arguments must be your own authentic original intellectual work.
What is the difference between Self-Funded and National Govt Scholarship (NOS) guidance?
For self-funded candidates, we guide you to target departmental Graduate Research and Teaching Assistantships (GRA/GTA, which provide a tuition waiver plus living stipends of £18k–£24k / $32k–$48k). For candidates eligible for National Government Fellowships (such as the India National Overseas Scholarship - NOS, Commonwealth, or Chevening), we provide dedicated advisory for their distinctive portal windows, mandatory unconditional offer letter requirements, and category compliance.
What happens if I wish to change my assigned mentor?
If you feel there is a mismatch in subject focus or communication style, you may submit a mentor re-assignment request through your student portal. An academic administrator will review the case and arrange a suitable reassignment.
How is payment processed?
Payments are processed securely in Indian Rupees (₹35,000) via Razorpay. Supported payment modes include UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), NetBanking across all major Indian and international banks, Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex), and EMI.
Are financial hardship fee waivers available?
Yes. UKCoSA Global provides partial or full fee waivers for meritorious candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. You can submit a fee waiver application directly on our Pricing page.
